What’s this all about then?
From the people behind the Measurement Conference and the Sockies is Social Media Week. We’re bundling the events together to extra attention for them, especially the amazing Measurement Conference. We have events booked for Cork, Limerick and Dublin besides the conference and the awards show.
We’ve just announced the concept and the dates and other information will start appearing here as we get more email replies in.

The condition for running associated events with Social Media Week Ireland are:
- Events are free – You cannot charge an entry fee to events that you host.
- Gender Balanced – Quit the crap with the all-male panels, be inclusive with speakers.
- Events need to be ticketed using Eventbrite – Everyone has fair access to tickets.
- Don’t add those attending to mailing lists without permission.
Why would you bother?
Organising is fun! Stressful too but it allows you to be the eye of the storm for an event. You get great contacts from it. You’ll be seen as the go to person. We have nothing wrong with you mentioning your own work/business when you mail those attending your event.
